Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our dynamic sales team. As a BDM, you will play a crucial role in expanding our client base within the telecommunications, data center, VoIP, and IT solutions sectors. Your mission will be to strategically target mid-market to enterprise-level businesses within the Raleigh area, identifying on-net and near-net clients to maximize our market presence. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Client Acquisition: Utilize your hunter instincts to cold call, network at social functions, and engage with industry events to discover new business opportunities.  Leverage your expertise as a telecom professional to attract and secure new clients, ensuring a steady pipeline of potential business. 

  • Client Growth and Strategic Account Management: Drive the growth and expansion of high-value client accounts by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities.  Collaborate with clients to develop and implement strategies for opening new locations, integrating advanced technologies, and expanding IT and voice services.  Ensure exceptional long-term client relationships to support their evolving business needs.  

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies for complex opportunities, identifying key decision-makers such as business owners, CTOs, Directors of IT, and IT managers. 

  • Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term relationships with clients and partners, focusing on vertical markets including legal, medical, hospitality, MDUs (Multi-Dwelling Units), automotive dealerships, and professional office businesses. 

  • Market Analysis: Blueprint potential businesses, assessing their size, operations, and key contacts to tailor unique sales approaches. 

  • Client Advocacy: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure client needs are met promptly, acting as an internal advocate for new clients. 

  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue by facilitating new contracts and upselling opportunities, while maintaining a robust sales funnel that spans multiple quarters. 

Industry Expertise: 

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in telecommunications, VoIP, IT, and data centers. 

  • Possess a deep understanding of our product offerings to provide valuable insights and solutions to clients. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, telecommunications, or related fields. 

  • A proven track record in strategic sales, particularly within the telecom industry. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, networking, and cloud services. 

  • Proficiency with CRM tools and account management software.
